Hello

I’m Jackie Keane, founder of Little Leaf and a Master Herbalist, Iridologist, Vitalist Nutritionist and Reflexologist based in Kilrush, West Clare.

My work is centred around a whole-person approach to health, combining herbal medicine, plant-based nutrition, lifestyle support and reflexology. I have a particular interest in women’s health and support women through different stages of life, including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and menopause.

How Little Leaf Began

My own journey into natural health began through reflexology and my personal experience of living with endometriosis. This sparked a much deeper interest in women’s health and in understanding how we can support our own health through nutrition, lifestyle and natural approaches.

That interest eventually led me to study herbal medicine, plant-based nutrition and iridology, and has had a strong influence on the way I work with women in my practice today.

Over the years, Little Leaf has grown with me. What began primarily with reflexology has developed into a herbal medicine and reflexology practice where I can draw on different approaches depending on the individual sitting in front of me.

The name Little Leaf reflects that connection with nature and the idea that even small changes can be part of a much bigger journey towards better health.

My Approach

I trained as a Master Herbalist with the Irish School of Herbal Medicine, where my studies included herbal medicine, iridology and Vitalist nutrition.

That training has had a strong influence on how I work today. I believe in looking at the whole person rather than simply focusing on individual symptoms, and in supporting the foundations of health through good nutrition, digestion and elimination, sleep, movement, stress management and lifestyle.

Plant-based nutrition is an important part of my work, as is the traditional herbal principle of cleansing and nourishing the body.

I also place a strong emphasis on prevention. Looking after our health isn’t something that should begin only when something goes wrong. There is a lot we can do in everyday life to nourish ourselves and support our long-term health.

Herbal Medicine & Reflexology

In my herbal practice, consultations allow me to take time to understand the wider picture of a person’s health before creating an individual plan. Where appropriate, I prepare bespoke herbal prescriptions alongside plant-based nutrition and lifestyle recommendations.

Reflexology continues to be a very important part of my practice. I work with clients for many different reasons, with particular areas of my work including women’s health, maternity and fertility reflexology, stress and sleep support, Reflexology Lymph Drainage and cancer care.

For some clients, herbal medicine is the right approach. For others, it may be reflexology, and sometimes the two can complement each other.

Tutoring & Continuing to Learn

Alongside my clinical work, I also work as a tutor in Herbal Medicine and Plant-Based Nutrition.

Tutoring keeps me connected to the study of herbal medicine and gives me the opportunity to support students as they develop their own knowledge and understanding.

I believe that learning never really stops in this work. Plants, nutrition and the human body give us an enormous amount to continue exploring, and ongoing learning remains an important part of my practice.

My Clinic

I work from The Henry Street Clinic in Kilrush, Co. Clare, where I offer Herbal Medicine consultations and Reflexology treatments.

Whether you are coming with a particular health concern, moving through a stage of women’s health, or simply wanting to take a more proactive and preventative approach to your health, my aim is to meet you where you are and work with you as an individual.

If you’re unsure whether Herbal Medicine or Reflexology would be the best place to start, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
